Jeff Curtis sailed in “Spark”, his BayRaider. Jeff was sailing with his son, Henry, and was one of a number of family teams who attended.
Julian Swindell was sailing in “Daisy Grace”, his Swallow Boats Baycruiser 20. Despite sailing solo he was able to take pictures and videos.
George Isted and Anne Warren were sailing “Sneaky Shark”, his brand-new, beautifully-finished Goat Island Skiff. Goat Island is a small island in Sydney Harbour. The boat is a Michael Storer design. A good account of the Raid and George’s building of “Sneaky Shark” can be found here
George & Julia Tevelyan were sailing in “Schuitje”, which was built (and is owned) by fellow Raider Nick Barberton-Smith. George’s grandson, Isaac, was the third member of crew. On one memorable day I was able to leave “Molly” and carry out ballasting duties on board this lively Ian Oughtred-designed Ness Yole beauty. Very enjoyable
